Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking Maintenance Technician Apprentices for the Malta site Fab 8. The program runs 18–24 months, with four college courses through HVCC at no cost to the employee, followed by a promotion to Level 2 after 2700 hours of on‑the‑job training.

You will monitor and sustain equipment, perform preventive/corrective maintenance, and communicate updates to the Lead Tech and Engineers. The role emphasizes safety, training, and hands‑on problem solving within a cleanroom environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Degree (or equivalent).
• Experience: None Required; some relevant experience welcomed (automotive repair, HVAC, etc).
• Travel: Minimal travel.
• Language: English (Written & Verbal).
• Basic computer navigation skills - Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and improve equipment in assigned area according to procedures.
• Communicate status updates to Lead Tech and Engineers.
• Complete hours of on‑the‑job training and participate in training activities.
