Job summary

Applied Materials, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Technician in Austin to build, repair, and test multimillion‑dollar display and wafer fabrication equipment in a cleanroom environment.

You will use electrical, electro‑mechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic assemblies, following detailed work orders and schematics. The role requires a high school diploma and 1–2 years of semiconductor or display experience; preferred is an Associate’s degree or technical training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of semiconductor or display experience, or related industry/military background.
• Preferred: Associate’s degree or technical education in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, repair and test equipment including electrical, electro‑mechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic assemblies.
• Follow work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, parts lists, and instructions to build or test equipment.
• Audit parts availability and inspect for defects; troubleshoot and improve processes.
• Use test fixtures and measurement equipment to verify assemblies; document progress and labor details; perform software/driver installs if needed.
