Job summary

TST Semiconductor seeks a skilled technician to maintain dry etch manufacturing equipment and document procedures to ISO 9000 standards. You will perform assembly, testing, QC, and repairs, track repairs, and upgrade equipment as needed to meet customer goals.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork are required to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, failure analysis, and supporting production with equipment and process improvements

Qualifications

• 2-year technical certification required; 3+ ASE certs or 4 years semiconductor tech experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Lam platforms and Dry Etch Fab/Sub-Fab maintenance on listed tools.
• Solid written/verbal communication and good organization are essential.
• Ability to work in warehouse environments and lift up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, calibration, and quality testing of memory chip and logic production equipment following SOPs.
• Troubleshoot failures, monitor repaired parts, and implement process improvements.
• Work inside and around all tool platforms and at customer Fab/Subfab sites.

Job description

TST Semiconductor is one of the most advanced semiconductor tool manufacturing facilities in the country.

Maintenance and repair of Dry etch manufacturing and support equipment. Documentation to iso 9000 standards of all maintenance practices and procedures. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Perform all required assembly, testing, and QC to ensure the equipment is operating as designed and intended. Must be able to track and document equipment and repair performance and pareto failures.Equipment upgrades and modifications should be implemented as necessary to enhance and grow the performance to meet the customer specified goals. Must be proficient and be able to Monitor repairs on equipment and parts to be able to respond accordingly. Order necessary parts to properly maintain equipment repairs needs. Disposition these parts for proper repair and or replacement. Electrical and mechanical schematic understanding is essential.

Write and follow procedures for equipment assembly and calibrations. Keep these updated to reflect current practices.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing and/or system operations, such as working with engineers and manufacturing in set-up and calibration tasks, system support, preventative maintenance, failure analysis, documenting/following standard operating procedures, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the process and production of memory chips and logic. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct in-line adjustments to products, instruments, equipment, or processes. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Requires compliance with all health, safety and environmental management system guidelines.
• Building and all support related machinery repair and maintenance may be included in any given day.

Specific Job Duties

• Preventative Maintenance (PM)/Change Point Management (CPM)/System Maintenance: Follows standard operating procedures to ensure equipment/ processes/systems are running effectively.
• Troubleshooting: Conducts failure analysis and follows scripts to troubleshoot and anticipate future failures.
• Monitor Repaired parts and Equipment/Process: Monitors equipment and processes in current state and proactively looks for ways to improve processes.
• Teamwork and Communication: Able to work well in a team environment and effectively communicate throughout organization.
• Work inside and around all tool platforms and inside customers Fab and Subfab.

Qualifications

• Any 2-year technical certification (TTI, ITT, Trade Cert, HVAC, etc); 3+ ASE certs or 4 years Semiconductor Technician experience or 4 years equivalent technical Military service is a plus.
• Familiarity with Lam platforms preferred.
• Direct related Dry Etch Fab and Sub-Fab line maintenance experience on LAM 9600se, 4528i, 4420 ,9400's PTX and DFM’s.
• Good mechanical /electrical troubleshooting skills are a must.Written and verbal communication along with good organization practices are essential in this job.Microsoft Office program familiarity would also be beneficial (ie; Word, Excel, Projects, PowerPoint).
• 150 and 200mm tool experience highly desired.
• Knowledge of ICP, RIE, and MW Strip chambers favorable
• Familiarity with SPC methods and implementation
• Ability to quickly learn new systems and adapt to procedure changes is also required.
