Job summary

Wolfspeed in Marcy, NY, is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to support a 24/7 semiconductor manufacturing operation. The role focuses on electro-mechanical troubleshooting, disassembly and repair of complex equipment, and collaboration with process engineers to optimize uptime.

The position features 12-hour night shifts (Wednesday–Friday and alternating Saturdays) and opportunities to modify equipment to improve process performance.

Qualifications

• AAS in Electronics Technology or military electronics equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
• At least 3 years of equipment maintenance experience.
• Experience with semiconductor tool maintenance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform electro-mechanical root cause troubleshooting of semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment according to operating manuals, schematics, blueprints, etc.
• Use tests and diagnostic equipment to complete equipment checks.
• Work with process engineers to understand process-equipment interactions and limitations relative to operating specs.
• As needed, modify equipment to improve up-time or overall process performance.
