Job summary

RTX is seeking a Semiconductor Equipment Engineer for the 2nd shift in Andover, MA. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing semiconductor manufacturing equipment, with emphasis on dry etch systems, in a cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, data analysis of tool performance, and supporting the ERT as needed. Candidates should have a degree with relevant experience and familiarity with SEMI 10 standards.

Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • University degree (or equivalent) with a minimum of two years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree.
  • Experience maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
  • Familiarity with SEMI 10 semiconductor standards.
  • Ability to read and understand equipment manuals and schematics.
  • Fundamental knowledge of SPC controls and ability to implement SPC control plans.
  • Experience analyzing tool data and predictive maintenance.
  • Knowledge of thin‑film metrology (ellipsometry, XRR, TEM, XPS, FTIR).
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment.
  • Proficient use of MS Office products.

Job Overview

Semiconductor Equipment Engineer – 2nd shift (1:30 pm–11 pm, Monday–Thursday, alternate Friday). Located in Andover, MA.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose equipment issues using experience, system knowledge and technical manuals.
