Job summary

Skyworks Solutions, Inc. is seeking a D2 Equipment Technician in Hillsboro, OR to perform maintenance on wafer fabrication equipment in a cleanroom setting.

The role requires flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities, attention to safety, and strong collaboration with engineering and facilities teams. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of hands-on semiconductor maintenance experience, an associate degree in a technical field, and proficient English communication.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical discipline or equivalent military experience is required.
• A minimum of 2 years' hands-on technical maintenance experience in a high-volume semiconductor environment is required.
• Candidate must adhere to all company safety protocols.
• Demonstrated proficiency in collaboration with others to make improvements through experimentation and drive toward standardized methods.
• Strong mechanical, electronic, and troubleshooting skills are required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be fluent in English.
• Comfortable navigating and operating computers; basic MS Office familiarity is a plus.
• Able to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and responsibilities.
• Hands-on participation with strong sense of ownership; able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on wafer fabrication equipment.
• Prioritize job tasks with factory management and peers.
• Work with engineering to identify root causes and improve equipment availability.
• Coordinate with vendors and field service; attend training when required.
• Attend shift pass-down meetings and communicate daily activities.
• Document all work performed on equipment.
