Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Idaho is seeking a Semiconductor Equipment Engineer to start up, develop, and optimize Pump/Abatement/Chiller equipment.

You will drive yield improvements, reduce costs, and manage risk across fab operations while applying failure analysis and SPC/FDC methodologies. The role requires a related engineering degree and at least 1 year of experience in equipment or process optimization, with automation exposure using coding or JMP scripting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field required.
• Experience in startup, development, and optimization of semiconductor equipment.
• Knowledge of SPC/FDC/Failure Analysis methodologies and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Start up, develop, and optimize Pump/Abatement/Chiller equipment to improve quality and yield.
• Identify, diagnose and resolve equipment-related problems using FMEA, 8D, SPC/FDC.
• Coordinate equipment evaluations and implement process changes at steps in fab.
• Lead yield improvements, cost reductions, and risk mitigation activities.
• Manage qualifications for new equipment and supplier collaborations.
• Provide proactive maintenance and redundancy planning to protect cycle time.
