Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Fab Support Equipment Engineer to optimize pump, abatement, and chiller systems, improving product quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.

You will lead equipment health, implement redundancy plans for bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvements across the fab. The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) and 2+ years’ semiconductor equipment experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• 2+ years of semiconductor equipment experience (pump/abatement/chiller).
• Proficiency in coding, machine learning, and JMP scripting.
• Strong understanding of process flow, SPC, and related concepts.
• Leadership and cross-functional coordination across teams to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Launch, advance, and refine pump, abatement, and chiller equipment to boost product quality.
• Drive yield and efficiency improvements, cost reduction, and risk management.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve equipment-related problems using FMEA, 8D, or SPC/FDC methodologies.
• Lead and resolve sophisticated equipment issues, develop procedures and action plans.
• Coordinate and carry out equipment and material evaluation/optimization to implement changes.
