Qualifications

  • Education: 2–3 years progress toward a BS in Electrical, Mechanical or Materials Science.
  • Hands-on familiarity with multimeters, oscilloscopes, hand/power tools, and basic CAD or schematic reading.
  • Basic understanding of PLCs, sensors, actuators, and electromechanical systems.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting and root-cause analysis ability in lab or shop environments.
  • Able to work independently, follow detailed work instructions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of shop safety practices and willingness to follow lockout/tagout and EHS policies.
  • Clear verbal and written communication for reporting issues and documenting repairs.
  • US citizen or permanent resident required for export-controlled documentation access.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair back-end semiconductor assembly equipment and peripheral systems.
  • Identify and correct unsafe conditions, follow lockout/tagout and EHS procedures, promote safety on the shop floor.
  • Assist production teams with equipment setup, changeovers, and root cause analysis to minimize downtime.
  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance tasks, and component replacements to maintain uptime.
  • Support kaizen/Lean initiatives to improve equipment reliability, throughput, and yield.
  • Record maintenance actions, log fault data, and support basic analysis to guide corrective actions.
  • Execute assigned tasks with minimal supervision and escalate complex issues to senior engineers.
