Job summary

ABM Industries in Phoenix is seeking a Safety Technician to support the safe execution of electrical installations in a semiconductor environment. You will monitor activities for OSHA compliance, perform safety audits, and help maintain JHAs, permits, and training records.

This role requires strong communication, documentation, and the ability to work in fast-paced, high-risk environments. Certifications such as NFPA 70E and OSHA 30 are expected, with CHST or similar credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of safety experience in construction or industrial environments.
• NFPA 70E and OSHA 30 certifications required; CHST or similar credentials preferred.
• EHS certification or science-related degree.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily activities to ensure OSHA, company, and site safety standards.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across electrical zones.
• Support incident investigations and root cause analyses.
• Maintain safety docs: JHAs, permits and training records.
• Deliver safety orientations and toolbox talks to crews and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with foremen, PMs and client safety teams on safety concerns.
• Ensure proper PPE use and safe operation of tools.
• Track and report safety metrics to leadership.
