Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a Safety Technician to support safe electrical installations in a semiconductor environment. You will help enforce safety standards, perform inspections, and promote a culture of safety across all project phases.

The role involves hazards assessment, controls implementation, and collaboration with project teams to meet site protocols. Ideal candidates possess NFPA 70E and OSHA 30 certifications, strong communication skills, and the ability to document activities

Qualifications

• NFPA 70E and OSHA 30 certification required; CHST or other safety credentials preferred.
• Familiarity with semiconductor protocols a plus.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-risk environments with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily work activities to ensure compliance with OSHA, company, and site-specific safety standards
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across electrical install zones
• Support incident investigations and root cause analysis
• Maintain and update safety documentation, including JHAs, permits, and training records
• Deliver safety orientations and toolbox talks to crews and subcontractors
• Collaborate with foremen, project managers, and client safety teams to resolve safety concerns
• Ensure proper use of PPE and safe operation of equipment and tools
• Track and report safety metrics and trends to leadership
