Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Design Project Manager to support our Semiconductor sector in the US, based in Albany, NY. The role coordinates architectural and engineering functions, leads project teams, and drives cost control, scheduling, and client relationships on high‑complexity projects.

The ideal candidate has extensive A/E/EPCM experience, strong communication skills, and is capable of mentoring other project managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Architecture, Engineering or Engineering Management with 10 years of related experience.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret engineering drawings, financial and legal documents.
• Proficient in MS Office, Project, Procore, Bluebeam, and video conferencing software.
• 15 years of experience in Architecture Design and Engineering.
• 10 years in Semiconductor industry experience.
• 5 years of Project Management in Semiconductor Industry.
• Demonstrates detail orientation and strong written communication.
• US work authorization documents required.
• PE license or AIA preferred; PMP preferred.
• Fab builder knowledge encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Manage project size up to large capital‑intensive projects.
• Prepare proposals, develop resource plans, and establish budgets.
• Develop and maintain positive client relationships.
• Provide leadership for projects internally and externally.
• Create and meet milestones and financial commitments.
• Define scope, schedule, communications tools, deliverables.
• Report project status to stakeholders.
• Manage project accounting and earned value reporting.
• Manage changes on projects.
• Identify risks and escalate to senior leadership.
• Foster lean execution for collaboration and progress tracking.
• Collaborate with design discipline managers to develop execution plans.
• May supervise a team of design project managers.
• Represent the firm with clients, partners, and industry groups.
• Other duties as assigned.
