Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. is seeking a Truck Shop Mechanic to maintain and repair semi trucks and trailers in a fast-paced setting, with emphasis on safety and compliance with Tyson policies.

You will perform preventative maintenance, read maintenance orders, and apply basic mechanical skills across shifts to keep equipment in service. This role requires physical stamina and reliable communication.

Qualifications

• Six months of operator experience with one employer in the last 12 months.
• Three to five years of related experience in industrial settings.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational diploma preferred.
• Rehire criteria and limits apply as per company policy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and perform preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers.
• Follow Tyson safety policies and procedures.
• Use basic electrical, pneumatic, and hand tools to repair or replace parts.
• Read and understand maintenance assignments and communicate findings.
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varied environments.
• Attend training and be assigned to shifts as required.
• May perform air brake, electrical, and air conditioning work.
