Job summary

Tyson Foods is hiring a Food Production – Maintenance (Diesel) Mechanic for the Greenfield Drive Truck Shop in Union City, TN. The role focuses on preventive maintenance and repairs of trucks, with a starting pay range of $22.40–$31.25 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities include reading manuals, diagnosing faults, basic electrical work, and maintaining DOT compliance, with progression to ME02 within 12 months. This is a full-time 1st shift position. Tyson Foods is an EOE employer.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months Diesel Mechanic experience or graduate of Diesel Mechanic Training Program.
• Six (6) months of continuous work history with one (1) employer within the last 24 months.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret instructions, manuals, and schematics.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on trucks.
• Diagnose and repair truck engines and systems.
• Document information and complete daily work orders.
• Advance to ME02 within 12 months of hire and pass reviews.
