Job summary

Empire National Inc. is seeking experienced CDL Class A Owner-Operators in Bolingbrook, IL for independent contractor work. You will operate a reefer/dry van with gross pay at 90% of the rate and weekly settlements.

A $100 DOT inspection bonus and referral bonuses are offered, with optional trailer rental and ELD support. Minimum requirements include a valid Class A CDL, a medical card, at least 2 years of verifiable CDL driving experience, and a clean MVR/PSP.

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Valid Medical Card.
• 2 years verifiable CDL driving experience.
• Must be 23 years old or older.
• Smartphone with data for documentation/photos.
• Clean MVR/PSP, no major violations in 36 months.
• No DUI in last 5 years.
• Must not be DOT Clearinghouse prohibited.
• Negative drug test required.
• Reefer equipment 10 years old or newer.

Responsibilities

• Operate as an independent contractor (1099).
• Coordinate with dispatch for loads and schedules.
• Maintain logs and documentation for each shipment.
• Provide high quality photos and records as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Valid Medical Card.
• At least 2 years of verifiable CDL driving experience.
• Minimum 23 years old.
• Valid smartphone with data and ability to provide high-quality documentation/photos.
• Reasonably clean MVR and PSP.
• No major violations within the last 36 months.
• No DUI in the last 5 years.
• Must not be prohibited in the DOT Clearinghouse.
• Negative drug test required.
• No recent or major convictions on criminal background check.
• Reefer equipment must generally be 10 years old or newer.

Compensation & Fees:

Owner-Operators are compensated as independent contractors (1099). A 10% dispatch fee applies after the first 6 months.

Optional Trailer Rental:

Dry Van:

• 10% of gross load
• Minimum $800
• Maximum $1,300

Reefer:

• $1,500/month
• Plus reefer-hour and mileage charges as applicable

A refundable security deposit is required. Additional deductions may apply depending on equipment, insurance, permits, tolls, trailer rental and optional services.
