Job summary

Southeastern Paperboard, Inc. in Piedmont, SC is seeking a hands-on Trailer Mechanic to maintain and repair a private fleet of semi-trailers and coordinate third-party service as needed.

Duties include repairing floors, doors, roofs, suspension, and frames; servicing air systems, brakes, lighting, and electrical; performing DOT inspections; diagnosing issues; and keeping detailed maintenance records.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License is required.
• Class A CDL preferred; company may assist in obtaining within 180 days of hire if desired.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Prior hands-on experience repairing semi-trailers is required.
• Must have own tools and be willing to purchase tools required for the job.
• Ability to diagnose issues accurately and implement effective solutions.
• Familiarity with DOT compliance requirements.
• Welding experience is a plus; Diesel engine knowledge is a bonus.
