Job summary

Sanco Thermo King is seeking a diesel trailer mechanic to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on a variety of semi-trailers. The role includes brake/electrical work, DOT inspections, and field service support. A CDL is preferred, and a tech certification is a bonus.

You must have your own tools and be able to interpret manuals, diagnose issues, and produce detailed service reports during field visits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical degree or certification is a plus.
• Diesel mechanic experience preferred.
• Class A CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs and maintenance on semi-trailers.
• Conducts preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Repairs brake systems and electrical wiring.
• Performs light, door, leg, floor and suspension repairs.
• Interprets work orders and manuals, tests repaired equipment, and generates service reports.
• Provides service and customer support during field visits or dispatches.
• Diagnoses issues and determines proper solutions, with use of diagnostic computers.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs a wide variety of repairs and maintenance on various makes and models of semi-trailers

• Interpret work orders and technical manuals

• Diagnoses errors or technical problems and determines proper solutions
• Produces timely and detailed service reports

knowledge, education and/or experience:

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
• Technical degree or certification is a plus
• Diesel mechanic experience preferred
• Class A CDL preferred
