JOB DESCRIPTION - DALLAS TRAILER REPAIR CO.

Sign-On Bonus: $3,000 for qualifying candidates, paid as $1,500 in 90 days and $1,500 in 180 days.

Positions Available:

• Diesel Technician / Refrigeration skills a plus
• Trailer Technician

Salary: $20.00 - $45.00/hr, depending on location and experience

Job Summary

Responsible for maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on trucks, trailers, and related equipment. Requires knowledge of mechanic tools, diagnostic equipment, attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills.

Mechanic Responsibilities

• Diagnostics and repairs on vehicle systems and trailers
• Routine maintenance and inspections
• Perform specific repairs such as leak detection, compressor replacements, and engine seal replacements
• Document repairs and follow safety protocols
• Maintain a safe and organized workspace
• Support team members and perform additional duties as assigned

Knowledge-Based Requirements

• Knowledge of diesel vehicle systems
• Experience with diagnostic and measurement tools
• ASE certifications preferred but not required
• 1-2 years of relevant experience or equivalent
• Ability to pass knowledge/skill tests, background checks, and drug tests
• Own tools, safety gear, and ability to read/write in English

Physical Demands

• Heavy lifting up to 100 lbs
• Extended walking, standing, climbing, bending, balancing, kneeling, and repetitive motions
• Good vision, hearing, and communication skills

Work Environment

Indoor and outdoor shop work, exposure to weather, noise, chemicals, and hazards such as moving vehicles and high places. Safety is a priority.

Position may include other duties. Tools required vary by classification. Shift availability includes 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts in various locations.
