We are a Minnesota-based family-owned business with our main location in Blaine. As we continue to grow, Blaine Brothers Baldwin, WI has an opening for a technician (preferred 1-2 years experience) in our Diesel Truck and Trailer Shop. We seek someone detail-oriented, with strong mechanical aptitude and work ethic. The role involves complete repair and maintenance of semi-trailers and heavy-duty trucks.

SCHEDULE:
  • 1st shift (7am-4pm)
  • 2nd shift (3pm-12am), Monday-Friday - 2nd Shift Pay Differential!

WAGE RANGE:

$25 - $40/hr (varies based on skillset and experience)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Perform repairs on diesel trucks
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, disassemble vehicles, examine parts for defects and wear
  • Correct vehicle deficiencies by repairing, adjusting, overhauling, and replacing major assemblies and systems
  • Inspect trucks for compliance with U.S. Department of Transportation safety standards
  • Compile inspection reports
  • Track parts and materials used in repairs
  • Ensure quality standards are met
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
REQUIREMENTS:

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Strong work ethic and willingness to assist where needed
  • Attention to detail
  • Mechanical aptitude with basic electrical diagnostics or technical training
  • Welding experience (a plus)
  • DOT certification (a plus)
  • CDL (a plus)
  • Clean driving record
  • Basic heavy truck repair tools (assistance programs available)
  • Ability to lift 50-100 lbs. occasionally and 10-50 lbs. frequently
  • Good communication skills
  • Reliability and dedication
  • Ability to work independently in a safe, efficient, and friendly environment
