Job summary

Dallas Trailer Repair Co in Converse, TX is seeking an experienced trailer mechanic to inspect, diagnose, and repair trailers and related equipment. You will perform routine maintenance, document action plans, and ensure compliance with safety standards in a busy shop environment.

Applicants should have 1–2 years of mechanical experience, possess own tools and safety gear, and be prepared for pre-employment tests.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of mechanical or equivalent experience.
• Must pass pre-employment knowledge/skill test and background check.
• Drug/medical physical exam required.
• Proven mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
• Ability to read and write in English for documentation.
• Must have own tools and safety gear (safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, hearing protection).

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair trailers and related equipment for mechanical issues.
• Perform repairs according to industry standards and manufacturer specs.
• Conduct routine maintenance on trailers and related equipment.
• Complete trailer body work and undercarriage repairs.
• Develop and document action plans for all repairs; follow checklists and protocols.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace with proper PPE.
• Follow health and safety regulations and best practices.
• Collaborate with coworkers and support team goals; work independently when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
