Job summary

Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula, MS seeks Semi‑Skilled Welders to build advanced naval vessels. You’ll weld with SMAW and FCAW, join metal parts, and read blueprints in demanding shipyard conditions. Roles are full‑time, with multiple shifts and opportunities to advance as a higher level craftsperson. Prior welding experience is required and training is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in structural or industrial welding with SMAW and FCAW.
• Ability to read basic weld symbols, measurements and drawings.
• Commitment to safety, quality and workmanship.
• Willingness to work in active shipyard environments and grow welding skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural welding using SMAW and FCAW.
• Join metal materials to fabricate and assemble ship components.
• Read and interpret drawings, weld symbols and blueprints.
• Work in shipboard environments including heights and confined spaces.
• Support production in a 24/7 manufacturing environment and be available for any shift.
