Job summary

Ingalls Shipbuilding, a division of HII, in Pascagoula, MS, seeks a Structural Welder to join our 24/7 shipyard team. You will weld structural steel using SMAW and FCAW, join and reinforce components, and work from drawings to ensure quality and safety.

Requirements include 1 year FCAW/SMAW experience and the ability to pass military welding tests (3G/2G/4G). Must work in a demanding environment; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year welding experience in FCAW and SMAW.
• Ability to pass a military specification welding assessment in the 3G, 2G and 4G positions.
• Ability to work safely and effectively in demanding industrial environments.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Weld structural steel components using SMAW and FCAW.
• Join, weld, and reinforce a variety of structural components.
• Work from drawings, instructions and welding procedures to ensure accuracy.
• Operate in a 24/7 shipyard environment with safety as priority.
