Job Opportunity: Maintenance Worker (Seasonal)

If you enjoy repairs and hands-on work, this position may be a perfect fit for you.

This is a seasonal job, budgeted for 17 pay periods (34 weeks) per fiscal year. Seasonal positions are vital to maintaining facilities during peak months, ensuring access areas and ramps are safe for public use. Work is performed in crews of two for safety and efficiency, including tasks such as mowing, installing docks and signage, weed eating, litter pickup, and minor repairs on dams and spillways.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Seasonal, full-time employment (March through November)
  • No medical benefits; paid time off accrues after 750 hours worked annually
  • Work hours: 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday-Wednesday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM Thursday, with a 30-minute lunch
  • Occasional travel, overnight stays, weekends, evenings, holidays, or overtime may be required
  • Salary: Starting salary may be non-negotiable in some cases
  • Telework is not available for this position

Qualifications
Minimum Experience and Training:
  • One year of laboring work experience involving tools and maintenance or construction equipment, or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training
Conditions of Employment:
  • Valid PA non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent required

  • Ability to perform essential job functions
