Job summary

Milk Education are seeking SEMH Support Assistants to work across Primary Schools, providing tailored support to pupils with SEMH needs and building positive relationships to encourage learning. The role includes 1:1 and small group support, promoting emotional regulation and social skills, and coordinating with teachers and parents to sustain an inclusive classroom.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEMH, challenging behaviours or additional needs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with staff, parents and SEND teams.
• Patience, resilience and ability to stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 or small group SEMH support.
• Build positive relationships with pupils to promote engagement.
• Support emotional regulation and social skills development.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENDCOs, pastoral teams and parents.
