Job summary

Ted Pella, Inc. seeks a Materials Science Product Specialist to coordinate product development and support, and drive sales and marketing for SEM, Materials Science, Forensic and AFM lines. TEM and SEM experience is required, reporting to the VP of Marketing and Sales.

The role involves growing product lines, preparing quotations, developing marketing content, and participating in trade shows while collaborating across teams. This on-site position is based in Redding, CA, with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Materials Science, Materials Science and Engineering, or related field.
• At least 5 years SEM instrument use and specimen preparation experience; EDS/EDX or WDS experience desired; light microscopy experience.
• At least 2 years TEM instrument use and materials science/metallurgical specimen preparation experience.
• SEM/TEM specimen preparation experience in the forensic science field is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Grow, manage and sell the Materials Science, Forensic, AFM and SEM accessory product lines.
• Generate product quotations (RFQ), follow up on open quotes and track prospective business.
• Generate sales forecasts for assigned product groups.
• Lead or assist with trade show preparations and represent the Company.
• Collaborate with staff on related product issues and development.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
