Job summary

Talentify is seeking an experienced mortgage loan originator in the San Gabriel area to generate loan production through self-sourced channels. You will originate applications, build long-term referral relationships with realtors, builders, bankers, and other sources to meet loan volume goals.

Responsibilities include reviewing applications, collecting required documents, and submitting to processing, while maintaining compliance with government rules.

Qualifications

• 2+ years external retail mortgage loan origination with emphasis on self-sourced business
• Ability to establish referral partner relationships in the market (realtors, nonprofits, builders, attorneys, financial advisors, CPAs)
• Thorough knowledge of mortgage products, procedures, and government rules/regulations
• Good verbal and written communication skills to explain programs, terms, features, policies and benefits

Responsibilities

• Originate mortgage and related loan applications in assigned area and develop long-term referral relationships with realtors, builders, bankers and other sources to proactively solicit business and meet loan origination goals
• Identify cross-sell opportunities by referring customers to other bank sales colleagues
• Receive loan applications, review information, obtain required documents, and submit completed packages to processing and underwriting for approval
• Complete mandatory training on bank and regulatory compliance and perform other duties as assigned
