ProCare Therapy is seeking a Special Education Teacher for a self-contained classroom near Washington, DC. This full-time contract role starts immediately and runs through the academic year, offering meaningful impact on students’ progress.

The ideal candidate holds a valid SPED certification and has experience with IEPs, collaboration with families and staff, and a compassionate, adaptable approach to diverse learners.

Formación

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification.
• SPED self-contained experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families.
• Compassion, flexibility, and patience to meet diverse learner needs.
• Ability to adapt instruction for various learning styles and abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct instruction to students in a self-contained classroom environment, ensuring individualized support as outlined in each students IEP.
• Develop and implement lesson plans that engage and address students unique goals.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, administrators, and families to promote student success.
• Track and document student progress while adjusting interventions as needed.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and welcoming classroom atmosphere.
• Participate in IEP meetings, contributing valuable insights about student growth and potential.
• Foster positive relationships that encourage social and emotional development.
