Job summary

Windsor Elementary is seeking a Self-Contained Instructional Paraeducator to support students in a self-contained classroom. The role may include bus supervision, general classroom duties, IEP support, and supervision during meals and recess.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, plus a Paraeducator assessment pass or AA degree/credits, and a current First Aid/CPR card with background clearance. Employment is classified and ongoing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Passing score on state-approved Paraeducator Assessment, OR AA degree or higher, OR 72 quarter/48 semester credits.
• Current first aid/CPR card; background clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of teacher designed instructional activities and routines.
• Work with individual or small groups of students.
• Supervise and model expected behaviors in classrooms, lunchroom, hallways, and on the bus.
• Assist with de-escalation/restraint procedures as trained.
• Support with care, hygiene, and mobility tasks as needed.
