Job summary

Windsor Elementary is seeking an Instructional Paraeducator, Behavior Specialist to support student connections and classroom programs in Cheney Public Schools. The role emphasizes behavioral support, data entry, and collaboration with teachers, counselors and families within Windsor/SSS settings.

The position requires Paraeducator qualifications (Assessment or AA/credits) and CPR/First Aid certification, with compensation detailed per the district salary schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; passing Paraeducator Assessment or AA degree or 72 quarter/48 semester credits.
• Current 1st aid/CPR; background clearance (WSP/FBI) required.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of teacher-designed instructional activities and routines.
• Work with individual and small groups of students.
• Supervise and model expected behaviors across settings.
• Implement behavior support plans and de‑escalation strategies.
• Assist with care and hygiene needs and data collection.

Education

AA degree or higher

Passing score on state-approved Paraeducator Assessment
