Job summary

Food Lion in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Front End/Self-Checkout Associate to provide fast, friendly service and assist customers with self-checkout and payments.

You will greet customers, help with SCO devices, monitor checkout stations, and follow Front End Standard Practices to maximize sales and ensure a clean, efficient checkout experience for shoppers. This role requires a high school diploma, strong communication skills, and physical ability, with a willingness to learn multiple tasks.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience.
• Greet each customer and use their name whenever possible.
• Assist customers on how to use Self-checkouts properly including hand scanner for fast checkout.
• Respond timely to customer inquiries and self-checkout system notifications.
• Monitor multiple self-checkouts for proper customer usage including scanning of items.
• Remind customers of items located on bottom of cart or under baby seats before completing transaction.
