Job summary

Vanguard EMS, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Associate to collaborate with team leads to produce surface mount and through-hole soldering that meets IPC standards. The role emphasizes quality control and documentation in a service-oriented environment.

You will perform setup, maintenance, and touch-up tasks, ensuring product quality and process conformance while supporting overtime as production needs arise.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years soldering PCBA’s at IPC Class I–III.
• Knowledge of SMT, through-hole, wave soldering processes preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and quality orientation.

Responsibilities

• Solder electronic components including resistors, capacitors, connectors, ICs, switches, crystals using no-clean flux and lead/lead-free solder to IPC Class II/III.
• Develop, document, and maintain setup and daily operation docs.
• Perform machine setup, cleanup, and maintenance per procedures.
• Touch-up by removing bridges and replacing SMT components as small as .0201.
• Ensure products meet customer and regulatory requirements.
• Inspect and quality check own work; maintain clean work area.
• Communicate quality issues to team and manager as needed.
• Assist wave and pre-wave soldering and participate in process improvement projects.
