Job summary

Vanguard EMS, Inc. in Beaverton, OR is seeking a Manufacturing Associate to ensure surface mount and through-hole solder meets IPC standards, collaborating with the team to uphold quality.

You will inspect boards, perform WIP transactions for traceability, communicate issues to the team and engineers, stop defective work, and contribute to continuous improvement while maintaining a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to use microscope and handle small components.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Willingness to follow IPC standards and process controls.

Responsibilities

• Inspect boards to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
• Perform WIP transactions to assure traceability.
• Communicate quality issues to team, manager and engineer as needed.
• Stop workflow to prevent defective products from being manufactured.
• Collaborate with the team to maintain a positive working environment.
• Ensure benches, tools and equipment are maintained and in good condition.
• Drive continuous improvement by participating in projects.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and perform other duties as assigned.
