Job summary

Fall River Public Schools seeks an SEL Liaison to work with School Adjustment Counselors as part of a multi-disciplinary team, teaching students social and emotional skills and helping them identify and manage emotions. The role supports both general and special education students and coordinates with educators, clinicians, and families.

The position reports to the Building Principal, with employment terms aligned to the Fall River Educators' Association Unit B contract.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with emotional and behavioral challenges.
• Ability to coordinate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong collaboration with educators, staff, families.

Responsibilities

• Proactively supports student SEL needs via observations and team collaboration.
• Supports implementation of behavior management and SEL plans.
• Collects and analyzes student data to inform plan adjustments.
• Assists with crisis management plans and related supports.
• Establishes emotionally supportive rapport with students.
• Provides support to students in general and special education as needed.
• Triages behaviors to determine level of support.
• Facilitates student support groups.
• Collaborates with SAC, teachers, and administration to address SEL needs.
• Collects and analyzes data to report progress to students and families.
