Job summary

Boston Public Schools seeks an exceptional English Teacher with an SEI endorsement to join our community of teachers, learners, and leaders. The position is anticipated to be vacant by 10/05/2026, with potential to start as a Long-Term Substitute if needed.

Reports to: Principal/Head of School. The role requires a valid Massachusetts Teaching License in English for the appropriate grade level and SEI endorsement or ESL dual certification, plus full eligibility to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Massachusetts teaching license in English for the appropriate grade level and SEI endorsement OR ESL dual certification.
• Meet the Standards of Effective Teaching and be legally eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Teach English in an SEI setting with standards-based curriculum.
• Adapt district materials and create sequential assignments aligned with state and district standards.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs and foster high expectations.
