Job summary

VERSANT is seeking a seasoned Segment Producer for Power Lunch at CNBC to cover major financial and political news. The role focuses on developing and producing live and taped guest segments, with strong writing and guest-booking responsibilities.

You will generate daily content ideas, secure compelling guests, conduct pre-interviews, craft teases, and coordinate multimedia elements to support segments, while maintaining strong news-source relationships and a flexible production schedule.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience booking and segment producing in a live television environment.
• Exemplary editorial judgment.
• Self-starters with superior contacts who can work under daily deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong sense of visual storytelling.
• Willingness to accommodate a demanding production schedule including weekends and some holidays.

CNBC is looking for a Segment Producer for Power Lunch. In this role, you will be an integral part of covering the most significant financial, corporate & political news stories of the day.

Qualifications

What you'll bring:

• At least 5 years of experience booking and segment producing in a live television environment, with demonstrated writing, research and communication skills
• Exemplary editorial judgment
• Successful candidates will be self-starters with superior contacts who can work effectively and creatively under daily deadline pressure
• Excellent interpersonal skills, combined with a strong sense of how to visually tell a compelling story
• Willingness to accommodate a demanding production schedule and flexibility to work weekends and some holidays when and as required

Desired Characteristics:

• Some experience as a Line Producer -- this individual will ideally serve as back-up LP
• Strong understanding of the markets and prior experience at a financial news network
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
