Job summary

VERSANT Media, home to CNBC and a suite of trusted brands, seeks a senior equity analyst who can uncover compelling investment ideas and explain them on air with clarity and authority. You will identify opportunities through deep research, financials, market trends, and conversations with leading analysts and investors.

You’ll reach out to C-suite executives, interpret balance sheets and valuation metrics, and turn relationships into actionable insights.

CNBC is looking for a sharp, insightful senior equity analyst who can uncover compelling investment ideas and write or explain them on air with clarity and authority. This person will:

• Identify opportunities through deep research, rigorous analysis of company financials and market trends, and conversations with leading analysts and investors.
• They should have no qualms about reaching out to C-suite executives or reporting on the ground to gather insights firsthand.
• The ideal candidate is fluent in balance sheets, income statements, and valuation metrics, and can recognize when changes in these figures may signal a shift in a company’s prospects.
• They will be well-sourced among Wall Street professionals and skilled at turning those relationships into actionable insights and fresh perspectives.
• Their writing and on-air analysis should combine the depth of a Wall Street analyst with the accessibility of a skilled communicator, helping CNBC’s audience understand not just what to buy or sell, but the thinking behind each idea.

You’ll stand out with:

• MBA and/or CFA credential
• Experience working in a fast-paced digital newsroom

Additional Requirements:

• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
