Job summary

nVent is seeking a highly skilled Business Segment Controller to deliver accurate, timely financial information for a global organization operating across 50+ locations and 30+ currencies. The role blends technical accounting with leadership of the segment Controlling team and cross-functional partnership.

You will support M&A activities, drive process improvements, and advise segment leaders on accounting matters while ensuring compliance and strong financial controls.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance required.
• 10+ years accounting experience with 8+ years of management.
• Experience with manufacturing or construction environments a plus.
• CPA or CMA preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee consolidated financial reporting for the U.S. and Canada.
• Support segment M&A accounting integration and harmonization.
• Act as strategic partner to segment leaders on accounting matters.
• Lead process improvement and automation initiatives.
• Manage complex accounting transactions and reporting with research.
• Support finance process transformation and audit activities.
• Provide timely balance sheet analyses and insights to leadership.
• Mentor and develop the segment Controlling team.
• Prepare ad hoc analyses and data requests as needed.
