Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned finance leader to guide our manufacturing segment in Atlanta. You will partner across operations and executive leadership to drive profitability, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic investments.

Lead cost accounting, standard costing, and internal controls while mentoring the finance team. Strong GAAP, ERP, and analytics skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong background in manufacturing finance, cost accounting, FP&A, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Extensive experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and data analytics tools.
  • MBA, CPA, CMA, or other advanced financial certification preferred.
  • Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations preferred.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree, technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership capabilities required for the role.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary finance leader and trusted advisor to Segment Leadership.
  • Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, plant leadership, and Executive Leadership to drive revenue growth, margin expansion, profitability, and operational excellence.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations for strategic initiatives, capital investments, pricing decisions, and operational improvements.
  • Translate financial results into actionable business insights for senior management.
  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
  • Develop financial models and scenario analyses.
  • Monitor KPIs, identify trends, and drive accountability for financial targets and operational objectives.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  • Oversee segment accounting in compliance with U.S. GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
  • Support corporate reporting and external audit activities.
  • Lead standard costing, inventory accounting, product costing, variance analysis, and manufacturing overhead allocation.
  • Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs and implement cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Maintain internal controls, support SOX compliance and audits, assess risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Improve productivity, inventory management, capacity utilization, and working capital performance.
  • Monitor capital expenditures and investment returns.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop finance and accounting professionals within the segment.
  • Build a high-performing finance organization focused on business partnership and continuous improvement
