Jobtailor in Illinois seeks a senior FP&A leader to partner with site, segment and division finance teams to support monthly operating reviews, annual plans, and long-range strategic plans. You will own division-level strategic financials, forecasts, and related schedules while driving improvements in FP&A processes and reporting cadence.

The role requires deep US GAAP knowledge, 8+ years in manufacturing finance, and strong collaboration with global leaders across functions and regions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Strong manufacturing finance or cost accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerBI skills.
  • Experience with SAP and OneStream preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong communication and partnership with leaders across functions, levels, and regions.
  • Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, and influence in a decentralized global environment.
  • Strong organization, discretion, and initiative.
  • Ability to travel as required, not exceeding 15%, including possible international travel.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with site, segment, and division finance teams to support monthly operating reviews, annual plans, and long-range strategic plans
  • Prepare division-level strategic financials, forecasts, and related schedules
  • Improve FP&A processes, tools, and timelines
  • Consolidate and analyze division financial results, forecasts, and strategic plan information
  • Identify risks, opportunities, trends, and alternatives for leadership decision-making
  • Develop monthly reporting packages, business reviews, and President’s Operating Review materials
  • Guide global FP&A activities across North America, Europe, and Asia, including actuals close, forecasting, and planning deliverables
  • Coordinate division and functional budgets
  • Lead consolidation of site budgets into a division-level financial plan
  • Track revenue and gross margin performance by business unit and product line
  • Standardize reporting tools, templates, and FP&A deliverables
  • Own the FP&A calendar and ensure timely, accurate deliverables to segment and corporate teams
  • Partner with business units, commercial teams, operations, and finance leaders
  • Present results, insights, and recommendations to leadership
  • Support internal controls, statutory requirements, and company accounting policies
  • Participate in balance sheet reviews and help maintain financial discipline
