Job summary

Syngenta Seeds in Waterloo, NE invites qualified students for the Seeds Production Research Parent Characterization Intern role. You will assist with field trials, collect data, perform agronomic evaluations, and help execute projects to advance seed production.

Part of our Emerging Talent Program, this internship runs May 2027 to August 2027, offering hands-on experience and exposure to SPR Scientists, Agronomists, and Parent Seed colleagues while developing professional skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Agronomy, Biology, Ag Business, or related field with graduation date December 2027 or later.
• Must be a current student continuing education after internship.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Seed Parent Characterization activities across trial design, maintenance, harvesting, data collection and analysis.
• Lead one Seed Parent Characterization location and manage field activities (planting, plot maintenance, harvest).
• Support agronomic trials and development of new product advancements.
• Develop and maintain communication with project managers, SPR Scientists, Agronomists, and colleagues across departments.
