Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Agronomy, Biology, Ag Business, or related field, with graduation date Dec 2027 or later.
• Current student continuing education after internship term.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Preference for Sophomore/Junior standing.
• Willingness to lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist with trial design, preparation, maintenance, harvesting, lab tasks, and data analysis.
• Take a lead role at one Seed Parent Characterization location; understand corn hybrid development and parent characterization activities.
• Support field activities: planting, plot maintenance, harvest, observations, in-season data, and plot upkeep.
• Communicate with project managers, SPR Scientists, Agronomists, and Seed colleagues across breeding to production.
• Assist with managing and developing part-time workers.
• Analyze data and prepare reports and presentations for assigned projects.
• Ensure safety procedures and environmentally sustainable practices are followed.
