Job summary

Vylor is offering Production Agronomy Internships for summer 2027 across multiple locations in the Midwest. You will work with an agronomist and seed production professionals to support safe, efficient seed production and gain practical field experience.

Responsibilities include field management, IPM, field trials, data collection, and cross-functional collaboration. The internship emphasizes hands-on learning, development of technical and analytical skills, and presenting your capstone project

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a four-year degree program in agronomy, agricultural business, agricultural studies, agricultural systems technology, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate across functions.
• Demonstrated problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
• Basic proficiency with computer applications and the ability to work with data.

Responsibilities

• Support seed production operations and field management activities.
• Assist with crop scouting and IPM activities.
• Conduct field trials, research studies, and data collection.
• Evaluate economic injury thresholds and support agronomic recommendations.
• Identify weeds, insects, pests, and crop diseases.
• Monitor crop development and communicate field observations and progress.
• Collaborate with agronomy, production, and other cross-functional teams.
