Job summary

Vylor, Inc. in Grimes, IA is seeking a Seed Handling Supervisor to lead a team handling germplasm consolidation and export for Corteva's global research network. The role combines people leadership with hands-on operational support to ensure compliant and timely movement of seed materials across domestic and international sites.

The successful candidate will develop talent, drive continuous improvement, and sustain safety, quality, and regulatory standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or equivalent.
• 5+ years in seed operations, germplasm management, logistics, or related environments.
• Prior people management experience with performance coaching and development.
• Knowledge of inventory, traceability, import/export, and regulatory compliance.
• Understanding of phytosanitary regulations and trade compliance practices.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and SAP; Lean Six Sigma experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, develop, and manage Germplasm Consolidation & Export team with performance management.
• Oversee germplasm consolidation and export operations for global research network.
• Establish priorities, allocate resources, and coordinate activities for seasonal demands.
• Build partnerships with research sites, Shipping Focal Points, logistics, and compliance.
• Ensure phytosanitary, import/export, biosafety, and company requirements through controls.
• Lead resolution of operational, quality, compliance, and logistics issues with corrective actions.
• Monitor performance and drive improvements in safety, quality, service, and efficiency.
• Promote a strong safety culture and visible leadership to support business needs.
• Maintain involvement in day-to-day operations as needed to support team and priorities.
