Job summary

Vylor invites you to join its Summer 2027 Professional Internship Program as a Project Engineering Intern in Johnston, Iowa. You will support facility design, upgrades, renewals, and retrofits while working with project managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams.

You will gain exposure to capital projects, field execution, and the processes used to deliver safe, reliable improvements, with opportunities for mentoring and professional development.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in an engineering field specified in the qualifications.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing engineering activities for facility design, upgrades, renewals, and retrofits.
• Prepare or update technical documentation, drawings, scopes, specifications, meeting records, and other deliverables.
• Support project budgets, schedules, risk tracking, and change-management documentation.
• Review contractor or supplier design packages and confirm alignment with project requirements and standards.
• Participate in site visits to observe construction, collect field data, and support contractor coordination.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, safety, quality, procurement to resolve issues and advance project work.
• Communicate project progress, findings, and recommendations through updates and a final presentation.
