Vylor is seeking a Project Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Johnston, Iowa. You will assist with facility design, upgrades, renewals, and retrofits while working with project managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor''s or graduate degree in mechanical, agricultural, chemical, construction, civil, electrical engineering, or related field.
• Enrollment at an accredited college or university during the term immediately following the internship.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and collaborate within a team.
• Interest in facility design, construction, manufacturing, capital projects, or project management.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% during the internship.
• Ability to meet the position''s U.S. work-authorization requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing engineering activities for facility design, upgrades, renewals, and retrofits.
• Prepare or update technical documentation, drawings, scopes, specifications, meeting records, and other project deliverables.
• Support project budgets, schedules, risk tracking, and change-management documentation under the guidance of project leadership.
• Review contractor or supplier design packages and help confirm alignment with project requirements and applicable engineering standards.
• Participate in site visits to observe construction activities, collect field data, document conditions, and support contractor coordination.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, safety, quality, procurement, and other partners to resolve issues and advance project work.
• Communicate project progress, findings, and recommendations through written updates and a final presentation.
