Job summary

Repsol has an opening for a Geologist Sedimentologist Intern located in The Woodlands, Texas. The position is based onsite in The Woodlands, with a Monday–Friday schedule and an optional 9/80 schedule at the manager’s discretion.

A summer stipend will help offset expenses for non‑local candidates who must arrange travel and accommodations. Interns will support senior geologists and geo‑modelers, assist with data gathering and QC of geological datasets, and help prepare maps and supporting

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled as a student for Fall 2027.
• Fully authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future; OPT/CPT/F1 not eligible.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across technical and non‑technical staff.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Support geologists and geo‑modelers with day‑to‑day project activities.
• Assist with data gathering, organization, and quality control of geological and subsurface datasets.
• Help prepare maps, cross‑sections, models, figures, and supporting technical documentation.
• Participate in subsurface interpretation, modeling, and review discussions as appropriate.
• Contribute to presentations and reports used for internal project updates.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as geophysics, engineering, and reservoir disciplines.
• Follow established safety standards, procedures, and company policies.
• Complete an assigned internship project and present findings at the conclusion of the program.
