Job summary

Repsol is seeking a Geologist Sedimentologist Intern for our The Woodlands, Texas office. You will support geologists and geo-modelers, assist with data gathering and QC of subsurface datasets, and help prepare maps, sections, and models.

The internship runs May 17 through Aug 6, with an hourly wage and no benefits. Applicants must be enrolled in a Geology or related geoscience program and be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Geology or related geoscience program and not yet graduated before internship start.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Strong analytical abilities, detail orientation, and solid written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support geologists and geo-modelers with day-to-day project activities.
• Assist with data gathering, organization, and quality control of geological and subsurface datasets.
• Help prepare maps, cross-sections, models, figures, and supporting technical documentation.
• Participate in subsurface interpretation, modeling, and review discussions as appropriate.
• Contribute to presentations and reports used for internal project updates.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as geophysics, engineering, and reservoir disciplines.
• Follow established safety standards, procedures, and company policies.
• Complete an assigned internship project and present findings at the conclusion of the program.
