Job summary

The Osen-Hunter Group is seeking a Training Manager to oversee the training and instructional leadership of Vendor Personnel, with on-site reporting in the New Market, MD area. The role emphasizes program development, compliance monitoring, and training facilitation to ensure security personnel are well-prepared for duties.

Responsibilities include developing training programs, coordinating content, evaluating effectiveness, and maintaining training records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in criminal justice, security management, or related field.
• Must be 21+ years old and a United States Citizen.
• Must have a current Top Secret security clearance with POLY.
• 7 years of security or law enforcement experience with at least 5 years in training/leadership.
• Firearms Instructor Certification (NRA/POST or equivalent).
• Defensive tactics training certificates.
• Able to obtain armed security guard license and firearm permits as state/local regulations require.
• CPR and First Aid/AED certifications.
• Strong knowledge of security operations, laws, and regulations.
• Excellent instructional and presentation skills.
• Proficient in conflict de-escalation and emergency response protocols.
• English communication skills at a high school level or better.
• Must be able to stand/sit for up to 2 hours; lift 50 lbs; climb 8 flights of stairs.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliverVendor Personnel training programs; conduct needs assessments and develop content.
• Coordinate, develop, deliver and manage training programs; oversee and evaluate effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with laws and contract-specific policies; prepare reports.
• Conduct and facilitate training sessions; provide progress updates on training completion.
• Develop method to measure training program effectiveness.
• Travel to training sites or client locations as needed.
