Job summary

Acuity International is seeking a Protective Security Specialist to train U.S. contractors and local nationals overseas, with classroom and field instruction. The role supports Department of State Worldwide Protective Services III (WPS III) during austere operations.

Responsibilities include conducting integration training, coordinating with WPS III teams, mentoring LN protective personnel, and leading mission planning and firearms re-qualification in challenging environments.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Minimum 2 years of instructor experience in security.
• Minimum 1 year of FTE firearms instructor experience in government training.
• Minimum 5 years in protective security assignments, including leadership and LN protection.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Valid U.S. passport with at least 6 months remaining.
• English language proficiency (written and spoken).
• Must pass pre-employment PRT.

Responsibilities

• Conduct integration training for Local Nationals in overseas locations.
• Liaise with WPS III training entities and LN integration.
• Direct and mentor LN protective security personnel daily.
• Ensure PRS assignments comply with Post policy.
• Coordinate mission planning for PRS assignments with TOC and RSO.
• Coordinate and conduct weapons training and re-qualification for LNs overseas.
• Carry out day-to-day personal protective security functions.
