Job summary

The University of Minnesota’s Security team seeks a Security Training and Fleet Logistics Manager to lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of training for all uniformed personnel while managing the university’s vehicle fleet for safety and readiness.

You will report to the Assistant Director of University Security (DPS) and oversee curricula, records, and compliance with state mandates, as well as budgetary controls for training resources and fleet operations.

Qualifications

• BA/BS plus at least two years of related experience, or six years combined education/experience in security, law enforcement, fleet management, or training.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain training programs across uniformed personnel in line with State standards and DPS goals.
• Lead and conduct employee training, coordinate schedules, rosters, and logistics for 40+ full-time and 60+ part-time staff.
• Manage fleet operations: vehicle scheduling, maintenance, inspections, lifecycle planning, and procurement coordination.
